What is the most popular smart speaker in the U.S. in 2023? (chart)

Alexa is dominating the market, but still more than 70 percent of U.S. adults don’t own a voice-activated smart speaker.

According to Statista’s Consumer Insights Survey America’s favorite smart speakers are running the Alexa voice assistant.

In the study conducted from October 2022 to September 2023 among 2,700 U.S. smart speaker owners, 65% of the respondents said they owned Alexa-powered speakers.

The second most popular smart speaker system is Google Home – 26% of the respondents own it. It’s followed by Apple’s HomePod (19%).

Both Google Nest and Bose take the fourth position, with 16%.

💬 There is still room for growth in the market, however. More than 70 percent of U.S. adults currently don’t own a smart speaker assistant.
