A quiet web corner for thoughtful geeks

Geek Updated is a quiet, comfortable corner of the web for people who care about privacy, mental focus, and digital well-being.
We think tech should serve us, not steal our attention or sell our personal habits. Why let endless notifications run your day? Here, we look for simple ways to keep a calm mind in a noisy online world.
While our sister site, Ebook Friendly, is dedicated entirely to books and e-reading, Geek Updated focuses on how we live with technology every single day.
We write about managing digital burnout, finding daily focus, and using hardware and apps intentionally. Do modern devices actually help us live better, or do they just waste our time? We write about gadgets, create software roundups, and share practical ways to make tech work for you without taking over your life.
We are Piotr Kowalczyk and Ola Kowalczyk. We have been married for 30 years, living a calm life in Warsaw, Poland, with our two daughters and two cats.
At our age, time is the only thing we refuse to waste. Why fill the day with noise when you can keep it simple? That is what we write about now.
English is not our first language, but we share our thoughts here with full honesty. We both love good books, minimal design, and tech that is designed to make life easier without causing distraction.
We invite you to explore our blog, read our posts, and join our small community on WordPress. You can also find us on Facebook and Tumblr if you prefer to follow updates there.
For full transparency regarding your privacy, cookies, affiliate links, and our use of AI, please visit our dedicated transparency page.

An extroverted book lover, Ola embraces reading in all forms. She pairs a love of reading with outdoor routines, proving that stories belong everywhere from open trails to e-readers.
Geek, designer, and platform founder. Introverted and calm by nature, Piotr actively avoids social feeds and screen distractions to cultivate deep focus and a balanced digital life.
