Should I buy Kindle Oasis in 2020?

1. It’s still the only Kindle model with 7-inch screen and warm light.
2. It may cost below $200 during Black Friday.
3. No new Kindle Paperwhite is expected in 2020.

Kindle Oasis 3 is Amazon’s top-shelf e-reader. Its regular price is $249.99. If you consider getting it, the end of 2020 may be the best moment to do so.

What are the reasons to buy Kindle Oasis in 2020

  1. So far, Kindle Oasis was rarely offered at reduced prices, but on Prime Day 2020 its price was slashed by as much as $75 – a deal never seen before.
  2. You may expect a similar Black Friday 2020 deal on Kindle Oasis. I expect the deal price to be set between $175 and $200.
  3. During Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and beyond, Amazon may offer the Oasis bundles with a free subscription: either Kindle Unlimited or Audible Plus. You would be able to save up to $60.
  4. Most probably, Kindle Paperwhite 5 with warm light will not be launched this year. It means the only Amazon e-reader with warm light is Kindle Oasis.
  5. For $175-$200 (if you get the Oasis on Black Friday), you have features that are worth much more. Check out the list below for details.

What are the benefits of Kindle Oasis 3?

  1. Adjustable warm light that lets you control the color of the front lighted screen. In the evening, you can replace blue light with a warmer tone to reduce eye strain and minimize the negative effect on sleep.
  2. Large, 7-inch touchscreen that displays crisp text and helps enjoy larger documents with fixed layout. It’s the largest currently available Kindle model.
  3. Asymmetric design that shifts the center of gravity to one side to help you keep the e-reader comfortably in one had for long hours.
  4. Audible player combined with 8 or 32 GB internal storage to enjoy Audible audiobooks to the fullest.
  5. Waterproof index IPX8 – tested to withstand immersion in 2 meters of fresh water for 60 minutes.
  6. Aluminum body combined with premium finishes: Graphite or Champagne Gold.
