What do influencers think of AI and how do they use it (survey)

HypeAuditor surveyed 620 Instagram influencers to gather insights about AI content creation tools.

Artificial intelligence simplifies and speeds up content production, helping create stunning visuals and videos, craft engaging posts and captions, and manage repetitive tasks.

A social media analytics platform HypeAuditor has recently released the results of a survey of 620 Instagram influencers and creators, asking them about AI creation tools, AI generated content, and more.

How do Instagram influencers use artificial intelligence?

83% of Instagram influencers use AI tools for content creation. It’s a shift toward more tech-enhanced creativity, “enabling influencers to focus on their personal brand while AI handles repetitive tasks.”

76% of Instagram influencers use AI tools primarily for generating images, videos, or captions. We observe a growing importance of artificial intelligence in automating and enhancing the creative process.

▸ More than 60% of IG influencers and creators use AI frequently, with with 23.9% using AI tools always and 38.5% using them often.

64% of surveyed Instagram influencers are worried that AI-generated content will lead to content overload on social media platforms. 

▸ 45% of respondents believe that AI-generated content “will make it harder for human influencers to stand out”.

▸ Almost one-third (31%) of Instagram influencers are worried about the quality of content produced by generative AI.

▸ A small but growing portion of influencers are open to the concept of digital clones for brand collaborations. 13% of respondents feel very comfortable with the idea of creating a digital clone of themselves, while 26% is somewhat comfortable.
